Do Your Best … and Let it Go
“Attachment creates fear that gets in your way: … ‘What if this happens, what if that happens, what if …’ …Your belief that everything must work out exactly as you want it to with no glitches creates enormous pressure. Being nonattached, however, creates emotional freedom. Non-attachment means: “I’ll do everything possible, I’ll put the odds in my favor, I’ll work hard and concentrate. I’ll do my best to succeed. BUT, if I don’t, that’s okay, too”.
– Don’t Worry, Make Money — Richard Carlson — Pg. 11

Does the pressure of succeeding actually cause the stress that keeps us from succeeding? Are my successes less than they could be because I am so worried about them that I have less energy to perfect them? Hmmmm … here is that attraction principal again … if I just release myself to work hard and let it go at that, will my improved “person” attract a higher level of success?
What do you think? Could your perfectionist emotions actually push perfect success away from you?
