No Deposit, No Return
“One of my favorite sayings I got off an old soda bottle: NO DEPOSIT, NO RETURN. To me that means you’ll get out of life about what you’re willing to put in. All champions have made great sacrifices to win their victories. So when someone talks to me about their goals and dreams, I ask them one question: “What are you willing to do about it?”— John Naber (Four-Time Olympic Gold Medalist)

I don’t advocate the theory of “no pain, no gain” … but, I also know that if someone does not work toward their dreams and their goals, then their dreams will never be realized nor their goals be reached.
This is where the word effortless comes in … those people who have achieved both success AND happiness, have determined what their core-needs and their core-values are and then have found effortless (not easy and not without sacrifice, but still effortless in that they don’t require the person to do anything they don’t really ‘want’ or ‘enjoy’ doing) ways to achieve their goals based on these very personal and specific aspects of themselves. It is a process that requires work because it is not the way most of the world tries to do things, but it is well worth learning.
Determining your core-values and your core-needs is an important step toward both a happy life and toward achieving your goals. I will be covering the process of determing your core-values and core-needs in the next few days.
